Information We Collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture via Google OAuth.
As you use JLearn we store your chosen JLPT level, saved words, kanji saves, episode read history, daily streak, and activity dates.
How We Use Your Information
We use your data solely to personalise your learning experience — surfacing content at the right level, tracking your progress, and maintaining your streak.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
JLearn is built on Google Firebase (authentication and database). Your data is stored in Firebase Firestore and subject to Google's privacy policies.
Authentication is handled entirely by Google OAuth. We never see or store your Google password.
AI-generated content is produced by third-party AI providers. Story generation requests do not include your personal data.
Cookies & Analytics
We use Firebase Authentication session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.
Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Children's Privacy
JLearn is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so, please contact us immediately.
